What else should I know?
We are often asked, "You seem to know a lot about painting
and construction, is there any thing else I should think about before choosing a painter?"
Here is the straight answer in two simple parts.
Is your painter a YES man?
- Is your painter just a ‘yes’ man? Now that may sound a bit weird, but
if the potential contractor you are interviewing has no educated opinions of his own about how to get the best
possible results for you, he may not be the person for the job.
- Karr Hendrickson, the owner of Pro-Master painting, uses his 30+ years of
experience in the trade to sometimes advise against colors with poor color retention from being used in areas
with high sun and water exposure. Or he may offer you a less expensive, or more efficient way of getting
the job done.
If there is potential for doing your job better, Karr
will find it.
Understand low bids
- Competitive pricing is a huge consideration these days. Nobody knows
how to be more competitive than a business that has weathered four down turns in the U.S.
economy.
- Pro-Master’s labor costs are no more than their
competitors.
- Their material costs will be higher only because they do not thin any of
their paint and apply coats per industry standards – this, unfortunately, is not the practice of many
painters.
- Another example, one of many. Pro-Master uses elastameric caulking for
cracks and repairs. It is the only caulking they use on exterior jobs and it costs three times as much as
regular caulking.
Now you know why Pro-Master Painting goes by the motto:
“WHEN YOU WANT IT DONE RIGHT…” Give
them a call when you or someone you know needs some good, value minded work done.
